You can combine study in History, Economics, Literature, Religion and Politics of the Portuguese-speaking world in a personalized program. Specific course requirements and flexibility vary between programs, but most require a thesis focusing on a contemporary issue, drawing on study in all these disciplines. All programs usually require a minor in a foreign language, and Portuguese is preferred for area studies focused on the Portuguese-speaking world.
